Terms And Conditions
Our Wedding Booking Terms & Conditions are below:-
Confirmation
To complete the contract, you must sign the Terms and Conditions and pay a £500 deposit within 14 days of your provisional booking.
Payment
A further £500 deposit will be requested 6 months prior to your wedding. Then after receiving your final numbers and details, 14 days prior to your wedding we will then issue you with a proforma invoice. Full prepayment for your wedding is required 7 days prior to your big day.
Price Guarantee
Prices quoted in this brochure are all guaranteed till the 31st December 2007. There may be a small increase in wedding packages after this date. All prices include VAT at 17.5%.
Additional Menu Charges
Should you wish for a choice of two main courses, this will incur an additional charge of £5.00. For a three course, two choice menu the additional charge is £8.50 and for a three course, three choice menu the additional charge is £10.00 (all prices are based on the most expensive items).
Complementary Extras
All complimentary extras detailed on page 1 are only valid when booking your wedding breakfast and evening buffet (minimum numbers apply).
Cancellations or Major Alterations by you
In the unfortunate event of a cancellation, you must tell us by telephone and confirm in writing as soon as possible. The following cancellation charges will apply:
More than 6 months prior - Your deposit forfeited
3 – 6 months prior - 50% of total estimated value
Less than 3 months prior - Full Estimated Value
If you need to reduce numbers from you original expected numbers you may be subject to a room hire charge.
Cancellations by the Hotel
If we have to cancel or alter your booking we will do our best to offer you a reasonable alternative choice of facilities either at the Edinburgh Capital Hotel or another hotel in Edinburgh.
If we cannot offer you a reasonable alternative choice of facilities at the Edinburgh Capital Hotel or at another hotel in Edinburgh, we will refund to you all payments which you have made to us, and we will have no further liability to you.
We will be entitled to cancel your booking without any liability to you at any time if:
- your booking might, in our reasonable opinion, damage our reputation; or
- you are more than 30 days late in making any payments
Other Requirements and Restrictions
We must give our prior approval to any external suppliers including bands or entertainers, which you want to use in connection with your booking. We may refuse approval for any reason. You must not fix anything to the walls, floors or ceilings of the hotel without our prior permission. If any member of your party or any of your external suppliers behaves badly, we may ask you and/or the relevant people to leave the hotel. You must ensure that these people leave the hotel as soon as possible and we will have no further liability to you. You will be responsible for the cost of repairing any damage to the hotel caused by any of your party or external suppliers. No alcohol or food may be brought into the hotel to be consumed on the premises. We will have no liability to you if we are unable to perform any of our obligations if the delay or failure is due to any cause beyond our reasonable control.
