The Westview Restaurant is a long dining room, very contemporary and classy in style, with low-level lighting, vibrant fabric-and-leather seating, dark wood tables, and large picture windows with views to the Pentland Hills and Firth of Forth. It serves buffet, continental, and full Scottish breakfasts each morning. Scottish and international dishes are served for lunch and dinner. Sample menu items include Rack of Scottish Lamb with a Rosemary Crust, and Woodland Mushroom Ravioli in Tarragon Cream.

Westview Bar - Set adjacent to the restaurant, the Westview bar has deep red walls adorned with floral prints, wooden floors, leather seating, and a plasma-screen TV. It serves drinks and delicious traditional bar food such as Steak and Ale Pie, Fish in Beer Batter, salads, and burgers. Open for lunch and dinner.

The hotel offers food most of the time and has an in-room menu, too, so you'll never go hungry, whatever your hours. For dinner you have two good menus from which to choose: a frequently-changing table d’hôte and a fairly comprehensive à la carte. Prices are fair: a 2-course dinner for £15.45, for example.

A recent Smoked Venison Loin with Red Onion and Juniper Marmalade is an excellent starter indeed: Perthshire venison at its best; simply delicious. You can have an 8oz Scotch Rib Eye Steak with Café de Paris Butter for £16.95 from the à la carte; or might try the Whole Roasted Poussin with Traditional Garnish from the table d’hôte menu. Desserts offer plenty of choice with a total of 8 normally on the go.

The hotel's new-look breakfast is really very good indeed and deputy manager Mark McKenzie has overseen the introduction of a hard-to-fault set up. You can choose from a fine cold buffet including cold ham, cheese, plenty of prepared fruit (summer berries, sliced melon, orange, grapefruit, , chunks of watermelon), natural yoghurt, and more. From a baker table select pastries with morning rolls. Select from an array of Twining's teas or use the coffee machine with its wide selection and help yourself - no waiting at the table for a cappuccino! Porridge is made to order. There's a hot buffet, too, offering haggis, Ayrshire bacon, field mushrooms, hash browns, eggs scrambled or grilled, and the like.
